MADMEN ODOMETER-March
The MADMEN had a marvelous March. MINI Munchies was at Little Anthony’s and we also celebrated someone special’s birthday.
There was a huge turnout for MINI Madness Casino Rally set up by MINI of Tucson and Casino Del Sol. MADMEN mobbed the dealership, met the staff and other MINI owners, made new friends and hopefully new club members. We cruised to the casino for buffet and conversation, cruised to the other casino for conversation, contest prizes and event badges. Thank you MINI of Tucson!
Last Saturday breakfast was at Ala Buzz Café where we parked alongside some American classic cars. We finished the day with a drive to Casa Grande where we toured “the big house” (the ruins, not the prison) though we did stop at the Prison Outlet Store in Florence.
MINI of Tucson held their grand opening event April 3 and quite a few of us were able to get off work to attend. We met on top of “A” Mountain and took the scenic route out to Old Tucson to watch the stunt show and see Bulldog Bart kidnap the V.P. of MINI USA. Fortunately Jim McDowell was able to escape and we motored to the dealership for food, drink, music and conversation. We mingled and met the staff of MOT and other MINI owners (potential MADMEN) and everyone had a great time at this top notch event. Again, thank you MINI of Tucson!
The remainder of April might seem anti-climatic after a grand opening but we’ll always have events planned.
My MINI Has the Munchies will be Thursday April 11 at Taco Tote 4811 N. Stone at 6pm.
It’s not too late to join us for MME on the BBC- MINIS Met Elvis on the Blues, Barbecue and Cajun Tour. We will be leaving Thursday April 18 late afternoon and returning Sunday April 28. Our trip will take us on the back highways of New Mexico, Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi and Louisiana. We’ve got some of those ‘Weird” state books to help us on the way.
And if you can’t go to Memphis with us plan on Last Saturday of the Month Breakfast, April 27, at the Rincon Market. Meet up with fellow MADMEN and enjoy a made to order omelet, waffle or pastries. Breakfast will be at 8am.
As always, please email us at MADMENofTucson@gmail.com to be put on our email list for events and information.
