Greetings! February, like most months, started off with Cars & Coffee at the MINI of Tempe Dealer which was a great way to avoid the Superbowl rush that Sunday. Our Sunday Sweets was at a Barrio Cafe where we enjoyed various desserts and probably some of the best guacamole I’ve ever had, it was great. Pavilions car show had a great turn out which is to be expected with such amazing weather.
White Roof Radio hosted their 500th show at EuroTechs where Todds Mods was doing vinyl graphics by day and we partied hard (possibly too hard) at Dave & Busters afterwards with valued Vegas DMC members and the White Roof crew.
February is the birth month of Arizona State so it only seemed right to celebrate with a run honoring some AZ history so we rallied around the 5 C’s (Climate, cotton, cattle, citrus and copper) and stopped at Ray Mine overlook and munched on some citrus and beef and various other delicious treats at Ralph & Betty’s at Top of the World. Check out the video by John Vowell at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJZt47zTYLg&feature=youtu.be
IFN was held at Rigatony’s where they were very excited to see all the MINIs and we had a nice crowd of about 20 people and stuffed our faces with some delicious Italian foods and great company and conversation.
Looking forward to this months upcoming DRP events and meeting a lot of new people at SW MINI Fest

February is a short month but we packed in a lot of fun.
MINIS and Munchkins at MINI of Tucson on the first Saturday was the 3rd month that a MADMAN bought a new MINI after eating the doughnuts. The 2012 JCW convertible had quite a few drool marks and fingerprints on it but Stephen and Kim persevered and drove that beauty home.
MINI Munchies was at Las Margaritas and we had a fabulous turnout of 30+. The food was good, the talk was loud and our dinner companions the best.
Last Saturday of the Month was quite an adventure as we motored out through Gates Pass and Saguaro Monument West and even farther West to breakfast at Cindy Lou II’s. Another huge turnout, we had 18 MINIs and 30+ people! The drive back to town took us back through Saguaro Monument where we spotted the elusive Golden Sasquatch. For some of us this was not our first sighting so we eagerly look for him on his bicycle when we are in the area.
The following day quite a few of us MADMEN joined the DRP for the AZ History Run from Mesa to Superior to Winkelman to Globe, lunch at Ralph’s place at Top of the World, then back to Superior to Winkelman and home to Tucson. It was long day but the food and the company was stellar.
Our MADMEN family is growing- we continue to get new members every month and they are as avid about motoring, eating and visiting as the rest of us. Welcome!

March is going to be a busy month. MINIS and Munchkins was the first Saturday and coming up March 8 we are again invited to the All Makes Car Show at La Encantada (AJ’s parking lot) from 8 to 11 am.
My MINI Has the Munchies on March 13 will be at Genghis Grill on Oracle Road at Wetmore at 6 pm.
March 22 and 23 we’re going to Bisbee and so far 19 MINIs and 30+ people have RSVP’d! In addition to driving the back roads of Southern AZ we’ll be invading Bisbee and then visiting the Decorated Car Museum in Douglas on Sunday.
Last Saturday of the Month Breakfast is destination to be determined. That same weekend is also the SW MiNiFest in Phoenix and SW Unique Car Show in Pomona CA.
