M.A.D.M.E.N. Odometer-Where we went in July
Bummer! No coffee and donuts at MINI of Tucson since it was 4th of July weekend. We didn’t suffer complete withdrawal though since MINI of Tucson put on a tent event in Green Valley and some of our members attended.
For our My MINI has the Munchies dinner, it was Cody’s Beef and Beans on July 9th.
On July 11th, Team Eurotechs sponsored their 3rd Annual Jerome Run. There were 60-65 minis in attendance for this annual non-DMC affiliated event. Many of the M.A.D.M.E.N partook in the festivities. In addition, Route 89A is just such a fun road and even better with lots of MINI buddies to run it with!
Then our MINIs were feeling a bit German, get it? So we stopped at Millie’s Pancake Haus before heading up to the top of Mt. Lemmon for one our club-wide DMC meeting. Millie’s was busy and all of the DMC folks took up quite a bit of space both inside and parking their MINIs outside. The ride up to the Ski Valley parking lot got us oodles of waves from people in big tour buses to those enjoying the Windy Point vista.

M.A.D.M.E.N. Odometer-Where we went in June
Since we enjoyed our breakfast earlier this year at the 4 Seasons Restaurant and the owner thinks MINIs are really cool cars, we had our My MINI has the Munchies dinner there on June 11th. As member Barney says, “Such a great turn out of M.A.D.M.E.N. tonight and I forgot to take any picture. I guess we had 15 for dinner even though we were miss some regulars. Food tasted great and plenty of it. We knew it would be slow from order to table, but everything thing is made fresh to order. Yum yum!” It was yummy and the plate presentations were just awesome.
How many MINI owners can you fit in the slim shade of one palm tree?
On June 13th, we meet up with the DRP for a run up to Kitt Peak. The M.A.D.M.E.N. gathered at the Fry’s parking lot to await the arrival of the Rat Pack.
Then it was a run out west on Ajo and up to Kitt Peak. Check out more photos on our DMC Facebook 
page many by DRP members Chris Calhoun and George Rocheleau. The DRP took advantage of the tours and stayed a bit longer to check out the telescopes and view the grounds.
Our last Saturday breakfast on June 27th was just north of Tucson at the Café at Sun City. Good portions, bright dining room and great service.

M.A.D.M.E.N. Odometer-Where we went in May
May started out with a visit to MINI of Tucson on May 2nd for coffee and donuts.
Of all the places the M.A.D.M.E.N. have been for dinner, we finally came across a place we won’t be frequenting again! Pappy’s Diner wasn’t very accommodating even though they weren’t busy at all. The service was slow and let’s just say the “wildlife” was active in the back room. It was a good thing turnout was low for this dinner meet up.
Towards the end of the month some of our members attended AMVIV (A MINI vacation in Vegas) which was sponsored by the Las Vegas Sin City Mini Club. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, so there are no pictures to share from this event!
The last Saturday breakfast on May both was at Laverna’s where the pancakes are large and the service is great!

M.A.D.M.E.N. Odometer-Where we went in April
We started out the month of April with a trip to the MINI of Tucson for our monthly coffee and munchkins fix on April 4th.
Our MINIs got the munchies on evening of April 9th and were feeling mucho bello! So, it was off to the Italian restaurant Mama’s Famous Pizza and Heros. We sat outside, ate
some pizza (especially large pizzas!), chatted with each other, and enjoyed the weather.
The very next day, on the 10th, was the 35th Annual Unique Little Car Show hosted by the 
Dynamic Mini Collective. But it wasn’t just MINIs!! There were all sorts of little cars, some with four wheels some 
with three, all unique. It was a great opportunity to share and view an assortment of vintage Micro and Mini cars. Check out our DMC FB page for even more pictures!
The day after the car show, some of our M.A.D.M.E.N. met up with the Desert Rat Pack (DRP) to drive the wonderfully twisty road snaking through the Salt River Canyon. They drove into Show Low to spend the day there and then drive back through the canyon home.
What goes great with MINIs? Ostriches of course! Our last Saturday breakfast was on April 25th at the Iron Skillet in Eloy. Why so far away from Tucson? Just to drive south from there to see the ostriches at Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch. We bought the combo pack which included a monster truck ride, food for the animals (deer, goats, ducks, lorikeets) and an ostrich fishing opportunity.
