Simon, Former DMC member has been working on his Mini rebuild for over a year now.
Some of you may know Simon. He has a White 60's Australian mk1 cooper S. It was already very cool. ( you see it in the upper left corner of the forum next to a Hummer h2) Now he has taking the whole thing apart and has been preping the body for paint for a year.
So if you would like to see the progress here is you go.

Thanks for posting the link Mike, wasn't sure if I could post on the forum as my membership lapsed.....
Also thanks for the comments, its been a hard slog to get this far with it - feels like a life sentence!
The motor is the original 1275 S unit for the car, bored out to 1330cc - ready to drop back in after some new diff output seals and some paint touchup.
I'll be posting more pics as I go along, it should be getting some base coat today (I hope)

Thanks for posting simon. I didn't really want to answer questions for you and get them wrong.

Here's the bricks current status, nice and shiny! Just needs a little more colour sanding.

What are your plans for the interior?

I think a white interior with white piping and some white bonnet and boot stripes would really set that car apart from the rest.

How about some whitewall tyres also?! White wouldn't be my first choice but that decision was made in 1968, out of my hands
Technically the interior should be red, a PO previously painted all the red bits black..... I like black though so I'll stay with black with a grey headliner, need to get some new panels made up.

I didn't Mike, not sure exactly where it needs to go yet - need to put the vin plate back on to figure it out. Borrowing a pop rivet gun from Pat this week for that.
