Dynamic MiNi Collective

Since I have the automatic garage door opener capability, the OEM rear view mirror cap does not work for my MINI. Steve at MNS says that his installer has a template for cutting them, but he'll charge me half-hour labor to do it, which of course is more than the actual cap.

Has anyone here cut a rear view mirror cap before?

I've never done one but have done alot of work with a dremel tool!
