Welcome to the forum! Are you looking to buy new or used? I'm getting ready to put my 2008 MINI Cooper S with less than 20K miles up for sale VERY soon. I LOVE this car but life changes call for me to put family before MINI. Let me know if you're interested.

I just bought my 2005 Cooper S private party through Craigslist. If you are patient, some really good deals will come down the pipe. I got mine for a killer deal, plus there is no AZ sales tax or dealer markup. Based on all my research, being in your shoes until recently, I would look for 2004 and up if buying used.

I am most likely buying used. Thanks for all the responses. I come from a pretty active Mazda community and was hoping to find the same with the Mini's.

Anything I should know when looking for a Mini?

A 2008 would most likely be out of my price range but I am interested.

Indi blue... my favorite MINI color ever!! I know Mark and Teresa went and checked this one out and test drove it, Hopefully they will ring in with their opinion. I know If I was MINI-less right now I would be taking a good, hard, serious look at that one!

Nice car. great shape. looks like the hood may have been repainted from rock chips... over all its nice. It seemed underpowered for a JCW. Priced too high in "my" opinion at the time we looked at it. The price is down from when we looked at it. but still on the high side. But it is MNS. (and please, its my opinion only, so please dont run elseware with it, i know how people can get).reguardless of the milage, its still a 04.

Priced much lower than what I still owe on my non-JCW '03 that I've had for 2 1/2 years now. :?

The 04 JCWs didnt feel as strong as my non JCW 05 S, I think because the changed the first gear ratio starting in 2005 in the S manual tranny. So that may partially be why it feels not as strong as expected, though you feel some differences from S to S even in the same model year depending on software, etc.
