Hello All,

I am new here and to the pleasure of MINI ownership. I met some of you at the last April Pavilion meet. Please excuse me if I forget names but I don't forget faces or certainly not your cars.

Here's the newest addition to my family. The name has not come to me yet. I think will let my 4 year old name it but she's not back in town yet. I am sure she will go nuts over it, she loves cars.

2009 John Cooper Works Hardtop R56
Midnight Black Metallic Paint (thought it was called Cosmo Black at first)
Black Roof Top
Aerodynamic Factory kit - matching to Midnight Black body colour
Leather Punch Black Carbon Black interior
Piano Black trim
Premium Package - Dual Pano Sunroof, Auto Air, & Multi F. Steering Wheel
Sport Suspension
17" JCW Factory Silver Wheels
Center Armrest
Rear Fog Lamp
Factory fog lights
Xenon Lights
Bluetooth and USB/iPod adaptor
White turn-signals lights
JCW Checkered front and rear floor mats
72 Months Extended and maintenance free factory warranty

Current Mods:
HUBER OPTIKS window tint all around including the both the sunroofs

Considering mods:
Factory Rally Lights in Black or Chrome can't decide on the colour
HUBER OPTIKS clear windshield tint to block out the sun's rays and heat by 94% but its $600 bucks to do so I waiting to see how long before I get a stone chip.

I think that about covers it. I've wanted a MINI ever since the reintroduction of the model by BMW. I can now say, I should have done it much earlier as I've certainly been missing out on some motoring enjoyment.

Since I cannot yet post in the events section I do plan on going to the Sunday morning May 2nd Cars & Coffee at the Tempe MINI dealership in the morning.

Also, I was thinking of going by the Pavilions again tomorrow night May 1st but I know that the official 3rd night regular meet is only the next weekend coming, does anyone still go out or will I be the only MINI?

I don't live in Arizona and thus not sure yet if I will officially sign up as a member. It will depend on how long I end up staying here in AZ and I will only know that by the end of May...

I am looking forward to meeting more of you.

My Best regards

Max

Welcome, and congrats on what sounds like a beautiful MINI. Looking forward to checking it out and meeting you on Sunday. Your story is a familiar one, so know you are in good company. :D
If you stick around this group long enough, that "considering mods" list will (1) get longer, and (2) have lots of check marks on it - these folks have a way of making things happen

See you Sunday!

Hello Louie,

Sure I remember. I remember you, certainly the plate and the car (red top and vintage looking type 14" or 15" wheels). It was a pleasure.

Hope to see you Sunday or again at the Pavilions.

Max

Hi Michele,

I am seeing that with the mods. I just got back from the MINI dealer off of Scottsdale Rd. Met with the service manager John again. They are real nice there. I will service there since its close to my house. I had been there once before to get my JCW Checkered mats. They give me nice discounts then since I mentioned the club and are offering some pretty good ones off the items I was looking at. Yup - I am already looking for more options. This looks like it will be a never ending case of whats next....

See you on Sunday.

Well, I surely want to learn the extent of this past. Bring pictures.

See you tomorrow. If this was Montreal (were I am from) I would bring our world famous fresh bagels but all I have are frozen ones and I did not freeze them right when I got in as my wife instructed me to. I would not be doing them your you guys any justice on this batch. Next opportunity I'l try and arrange that. Everyone should at least have tried a Montreal bagel at some time in their lives. And own a MINI of coarse.

So what time does everyone really show up for. I see its called for 8am - 10am. I have no problems being there for 8 if other will be there by then as well.

This is odd. I am finding myself getting attached to my MINI.....I have had many cars and many unique one too, but I have never felt any attachment to them. I really am enjoying this car. I have also always been a stock only kind of person in the past. I keep thinking of what I can do in the way of mods to make it unique, very unlike me.
