New Mini in the Family

My parents have been eyeing my Mini since they came along with me to pickup my new one 2 years ago. I finally got them to give up their old Explorer and purchase a Clubman "S" at Mini of Tempe on Monday. A nearly fully optioned car and its in the metallic blue and silver.....which makes my Dad happy as its the colors of the Air Force and matches the Air Force Retired sticker he's going to put on the back window. They used to own a late 1960's Austin Mini when we were stationed at RAF Bentwaters 20 years ago....so they are thrilled to own one once again.

The dealer was great....giving us a good markdown on the car for being club members in addition to the regular haggling to lower the price. And we were both thrilled that they give DMC members 10% to 25% off parts and service.

We're going to try to make it to the Pavillions this month. We've been so busy with work that we haven't done any club activities in the last year....so now we plan to get out there more.
