AMVIV8 - May 19

Hotel registration and event registration is up and open! :)

For those not paying attention, the event has moved from March to May!

A good deal for anyone coming to AMVIV in May.
Right now, with a limit of 1000 uses, Station Casinos are selling $100 gift cards for $50 + $2.95 service charge.
You'll need to use promo code WLL2011 to get the $50 off.
They expire after 12 months.

Yep, we planned our vacation for May, but then I found out that AMViV was being moved from March to May... and it is the exact same week that we are on vacation. I'm excited about vacation, don't get me wrong, but SO sad to be missing AMViV. :( :( :(

For us, a highlight of AMVIV '11 is the new bridge. Note that the organizers have set the dam/bridge tour for Thursday a.m. I think most of us drive to LV on Thursday. I know our hotel reservation is Thursday to Sunday.

If someone could take some dam pictures during the dam tour that would be great......Sorry I had to..... :lol:

I proposed an aerial photo of all AMVIV MINIs on the bridge - I guess ADOT didn't go along with that.

Hello there, Since I am member to both clubs and know what is going on with the AMVIV planning here is the low down. As you may or may not know the Dam bridge is a popular destination and the parking situation is very limited. We schedule the event to happen on Thursday because of the low traffic in the Bridge parking area. It is merely impossible to get in the parking area due to the fact it is always full. The other thing in regards to an arial photo , it would be impossible because both NDOT and ADOT will not permit ANY vehicles to stop on the bridge. So please understand that planning a event like this isn't easy and our volunteers put in a lot of their own hours to create this event. There is a reason why we make the decisions for the event and unfortunately it sometimes doesn't please everyone. I hope I have cleared things up for you and cant wait to see you all there!

Looks like this coupon code expired! :(

They should have stated this more clearly like maybe that the promo code has a 1000 use limit! I've seen these types of offers before and this is very poorly worded. The way I interpret that sentence it that the card has a 1000 uses!

So I missed the offer and maybe the wording was unclear and I am venting!

Wow! Hard to imagine an AMVIV without Dee. The main attraction for us is an excuse to see the new bridge. We've driven the drives, run the runs, and now LVPD is giving us s**t about the strip run. Maybe if we posted ads for hookers on the MINIs it would be okay...

Hope you rethink not going - you'll be missed.
