Heres alittle info if anyone wants to go:
Any and all car enthusiasts are welcome on this drive, so of course Minis are more than welcome! I would definitely love to see some sweet Minis rolling up with us.
Morning Meeting Place for Tucson and Phoenix People @ 9 AM
Arizona Mills parking lot next to the old Krispy Kreme.
This is located on the far East side of the Arizona Mills mall. If you can't find it, just drive around AZ Mills until you see the gathering group of cars.
The route UP
We'll start from Ray and I-10 and take the I-10 to the I-17 North. From there we will go to the Carefree Highway and exit west to Highway 74 and then continue North via the US60/Grand Avenue towards Wickenburg.
From Wickenburg we will take the 89 North towards Yarnell and the back route into Prescott where we will stop and park at the parking garage behind the "Whiskey Row" buildings in Prescott. This destination is conveniently located right of the 89 and has many different restaurants in the area for us to enjoy.
Time for departure from Prescott is tentative, but assume that if we arrive at 12 noon, have lunch, socialize, etc. we will likely be departing some time between 2 and 3 PM.
RADIO CHANNEL
Assuming everyone has an FRS radio such as a Motorola Talkabout, the channel I would like everyone to use is channel 4, code 20.
Channel: 4
Code: 20
4:20
That's for you San!

The return DOWN
From Prescott we will take the 69 East to the I-17 South to return to Phoenix. The trip will likely take an hour and a half to two hours back into Phoenix.

Good attitude
I encourage everyone to come out and have a good time and enjoy some spirited driving. However, I ask that you come and be safe. If you are looking to set some kind of speed record, there is a track even at PIR the following weekend. This is a cruise and a chance to hang out with good people, get some great pictures, nice weather, a good road and great scenery. Understand that I will personally give people hell to pay if anyone decides it's a great idea to endanger the lives of anyone on this trip or other drivers on the road with reckless driving or crazy stunts i.e. blind turn passes, shoulder passing, etc.
Think spirited driving, not Gumball Rally or F1 Qualifying...if you want the latter, come join me on the track at PIR the weekend after.
