Okay, here is the plan for the day.
I would suggest you wear boots or some type of high sneaker, long sleeve shirt or jacket, maybe a hat, since it could still be cool up there in the morning, but will warm up later in the day. A cooler with some water to quench your thirst. ADOT is providing the safety vests, tools, bags, etc.
Those coming from the Phoenix area, we will meet at 8AM at the gas station on the SouthEast corner of Ft. McDowell Road and the AZ-87. Departure time, 8:15AM Sharp, so please be gassed up and ready to go. As was mentioned elsewhere in the thread, you might want to gas up somewhere else, as Bajas prices tend to be on the high-end, this just made a good central meeting point.

It's approximately 70 miles from our meeting location to Payson where we'll stop for a bathroom break and meet Todd.
Once we get into Payson, we'll stop on the North side of town for a bathroom break. If others coming from the North want to meet here, please let me know so we can expect you.

After a quick stop and break, we will head north out of Payson, approximately 30 miles and proceed past our mile marker and will be parking at the Long Valley Cafe, which is right on AZ-87 at mile marker 290, approximately a mile north of where our mile marker is.

We should arrive at the Cafe at approximately 10:15, so those coming from Flagstaff or areas North, should meet us here. Suzanne has some safety items she has to go over with everyone, and then we want to carpool back to our work area and be working by 10:30.
Unless we have "a failure, to communicate", we expect to be completed in less than 2 hours, hopefully by noon, when we'll then return to the Cafe for lunch.
After the lunch we will head back into Payson and over to Todd and Carols cabin for a little desert! Rumour has it, it might be someones birthday that day too
After desert, it will be time to head home to avoid the worst of the Sunday traffic. If there are those that want to take a longer way home, taking 260 West, and coming out in Camp Verde is a fun route, but then you have I-17 to deal with coming down south. I would suspect most of us will just head back on 87 into town, like we came up.
