Sin City Mini Club Run to Prescott Jun 6-8

The Sin City MINI Club has set this year's weekend drive to Prescott, Arizona.
We will drive to Prescott on Friday, June 6, and return Sunday, June 8th.

I have reserved a block of rooms at the Best Western Prescottian in downtown
Prescott for Friday and Saturday nights. The rate is $95 + tax for two people,
with each additional person $10 extra. This rate includes a hot breakfast buffet
each day. If you would like to go, please call the hotel directly at
928-445-3096 and ask for the Sin City MINI Club group rate (group #100947).
Reservations need to be made by May 15.

Planned activities will include a drive on Saturday to Jerome on Highway 89A,
possibly continuing on to Sedona. We will return to Prescott for dinner and
drinks on Whiskey Row (http://www.whiskeyrow.us/history.html). On Sunday, we
will check out the 35th Annual Folk Arts Fair, along withe the Territorial Days
Arts and Crafts Show before heading back through Bagdad, Arizona and the famous
'twelve miles of terror".

That'd be great I think. Run up there Saturday morning and do the Jerome route with them? I put it on the DMC Calendar and replied in the NAM thread about our interest in joining them.

Yeah, i didn't figure very many from the DMC would want to do the nights stay in Prescott, but definitely an option for those interested. I'm thinking of just doing the Saturday run at this point.

I'm participating in this some how. I might meet the group on Fri in Ashfork and drive into Prescott and stay the night and do the Sat run and then head home after dinner in Prescott. Or we might show up early on Sat do the run and stay Sat night in Prescott. Then Sun morn run with them the 12 miles of terror and then head home. I'm leaning toward the latter

I'll post up a meeting time for Saturday morning for those going up from the valley. We can meet at the usual big Shell in Wickenburg Saturday morning, and I just need to nail down a meet-up time with Steve from the Las Vegas at their hotel in Prescott.

Okay, I heard back from Steve from the Sin City Folks, and they plan to head out from Precott a bit before 10AM Saturday morning, to make the run to Jerome/Sedona.

Soooo, anyone from the DMC wanting to go, here is the plan.

Meeting Point:
Shell Gas Station in Wickenburg (2nd Shell as you come into town)

Departure Time: 8:10 AM SHARP

Please gas up in Wickenburg, that will make sure we dont have to stop in Prescott for gas for anyone. You should have plenty of gas to get to Sedona and back to I-17, Camp Verde area for the route home.

The Route Link above shows you our route from the Shell to the Best Western Prescottian, where the SCMC folks are staying and departing from. From Wickenburg, we'll go up via Yarnell, the most direct route, but also a fun route too.

Now they did talk about possibly just coming back the same way from Sedona, via Jerome, and not doing the lower loop from I-17. So that will be optional for any of us that want to do that, but for those that just want to go home after Jerome/Sedona, you can take this map back to I-17 and just stay on it coming back South. If you aren't sure yet, we can find out who wants to do what on Saturday, as I know a few people are planning to stay in Prescott Saturday night.
