Mark and I went home this way last year and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Left the lodge on Sunday and got to Santa Fe for an overnight stay later than night. Monday, hit Sandia Mini (really nice dealership/people) and then home for a few hours of rest before getting back to reality.

1st time for us too!

We're taking the slow route and coming up via T or C, and the steam train in Chama. Then home via old chums in Denver, Albuquerque, Hatch and, maybe, Bear Mountain Lodge near Silver City,

Retired life is soooooo stressful :wink:

The train ride in Chama is VERY cool. I had a friend whose parents lived in that area and the kids got married there in a little white church out on a hill. You would have thought it was a scene from a movie.
