To clarify for those that haven't gone up for Minis in the Mountains with the DMC before, in past years, we've left on Wednesday morning, drove about 8 hours and stayed in Pagosa Springs that night, had a nice dinner somewhere, etc. Then the next morning we make the rest of the 3-4 hour drive into Copper Mountain Resort to begin the festivities! That way your not burnt out when you arrive and are ready to take on some local runs once you get all settled in.

Dan, did you notice that it starts on Wednesday this year? Were you planning to depart on Wednesday? My Copper reservation is for Wed, the 6th, so that means we will leave on Tues the 5th and stay in Pagosa Springs that night.

Yeah technically it does, but there isn't really anything going on Weds other than setup, so I was still planning to stick to the same "Leave Weds" schedule. All our reservations are as before, stay in Pagosa Weds night, drive to Copper on Thurs. Same as I posted above.

"WED Aug 6 CMR - Volunteer arrival and setup party only. No planned group food or beverage. No participant (pre-registered) check-in."

No check-in or events really scheduled until Thursday.

It's not in Denver proper, its in Aurora, 95 miles east from Copper/Frisco.

Slight change of plans for us - we are going to stay at a friend's cabin (between Cortez/Durango) Tues night. My old boss is the City Manager of Durango so we'll be seeing him on Tuesday as well. Wednesday, we'll head up to Copper Mountain and should get there right about check in time!

I'm guessing the bulk of the group will do that, yeah. Marilyn and I are still up in the air yet, we might take an extra day afterwards in Colorado.

Very cool... all of those hotels are in the same general area, so it's not like we all have to stay at the same place anyway, whatever works for your passengers! hehe..

Dan: Chili Mini will be there; just not sure if just me or Barbara too. We have a reservation at Copper but have not registered with MITM yet. What route do you drive from Pagosa Springs? Monte Vista thru Leadville?
