BOV is a blow off valve. People put it on low horsepower cars because they like to drive around making it "flutter." On high power cars, it really serves a purpose, but with a lower power car it just makes you sound like a 16y/o kid.

and cheap jap wheels... enkei, motegi, konig, etc. You know, things that belong on a Civic on the westside...

Schmidt, iForged, HRE, Fikse, etc. for me please.

Those wheels are a little different case than the ones I'm referring to, and you know it! :D

Maybe, but you're including them with your prejudice generalities of what is and isn't "tasteful" or "cheap" by naming manufacturers and nationalities.

BTW, some may find your use of the term "jap" as disparaging and offensive.

So...since the Mini doesnt have DPE's or I-Forged wheels my car is cheap? And a BOV isnt for people with low HP turbo cars. I had an APR Stage III+ on my Jetta. That was low...lol. And is Kal's car cheap because he is running a custom turbo setup and a FMIC?

its a shorter way of saying japanese. If someone was offended by then, then they have some serious issues. thats like me getting offended if someone called me american or whitey or something.

don't tell me you had a BOV on a 1.8T A4 car... that doesn't help your argument. VW made a closed loop system for that motor (AW_,) therefore blowing off the extra charge is doing more bad for the system than good. Hence why people tuning VWs are using DVs not BOVs. And a Stage III Apr car is very high numbers for a VW, but in the reality of things thats not really what I would consider a high HP car. Maybe a APR III R32.... oooh wouldn't that be fun? I know a few guys with blown R32s and those are amazing fun. And what is wrong with a custom turbo setup and FMIC? FMIC is good in this heat.

But I know that you know putting a BOV on an otherwise stock car is just done (by most) so they can make noise. Remember these?

http://www.faketurbo.com/ <---- I find it really funny that the car in the pic appears to be a MkV 2.0T!!! hahah

I used an HKS SSBOV for quite awhile on my AWW Jetta. I then went back to the EVOMS DV. But not because it harming my car...lol. And by todays standards 350 HP isnt alot but its not small either. I mean...come on...it was faster than most SRT's and Civics rolling around this place. And the BOV is just gonna take it longer to spool. And I didnt want to go higher than that because then I would have to really tear into things:wink:

MINI perfection in styling cues... though I'm glad everyone has different ideas, it'd be boring if every car was the same. In my mind, less is more. And for the record, I don't remember telling any one of you that your car is ugly, a pos, tastless, etc. I only have in my sig general things that I think people buy sometimes without thinking the purchase through.
