It was built for racing...I just have no money right now to do so. There is even a 6-speed in the garage so I can swap the shitty 5-speed and some other stuff in the works...

Where did you get I-Forgeries for 1200? New? Cause I know the owner and and his friends (DPE) and they wont even sell them for that cheap to theyre close friends....and as far as the exhaust goes...they had the application there (as far as I was told) when I was getting the Touaregs exhaust prototyped...

They were purchased from a private party in Los Angeles, second hand. They needed minor refinishing and paint. GHL produces exhaust for the 225Q and 180Q cars but nothing for the 180F car, which is what I had. Keep trying to call me out though. I've been in the VW scene heavily since 2001. I was there when Todd started EVOMS, before Exklusiv and EuroJet were even ideas, and Derek Scott was working out of his garage. I know what GHL produces. I also know the difference between a knock off wheel and an iForged wheel. People who buy things new get owned.

And if you actually race it, I will retract anything about it. I was told you don't race it on Saturday, which I then thought pointless to take out the interior. If it is being raced though, I'm all for it and it is a sexy car. Simple, clean, and friggin slammed.

the mini is my 9th car. Most of which modded. And no money does not equal taste I think ive been saying that all along. Cf and wings cost a lot and that is not taste on a fwd low power application. It is absolutely an unnessecary item.

Funny, My thoughts are that a low power application is where these 2 items you just listed as an example are MOST nessisary.

If you don't have much power in the first place , then every pound of weight you're able to shed off of the car is going to make a big difference, and last I checked, carbon fiber weighs quite a bit less than steel.

Also, an underpowered car is going to need to carry as much speed as possible through the corners becaue it won't be able to accelerate back up to speed on the straights. properly tuned areodynamics (big shopping cart wings) will allow you to tune your suspension to reduce or eliminate understeer while still keeping the back end of the car stuck to the ground to reduce the risk of oversteer.

Just ask the guys at PIR that are beating V-8 cars in thier Honda CRXs just how unnessisary thier rear wing and carbon fiber parts are.

hmmm lets see 4 posts up I said I purchased them for much less used, and 1K? because I was burned on the sale by a deadbeat. was supposed to be 1500, plus I received Rial Daytonas. Got the 1000, got the Daytonas, but never received the additional 500.

and for the 7K, maybe you didn't make the connection I was trying to make a play off the old VISA commercials, so I just put retail prices up there for everything.

You know what though? you guys are right, you are all knowing. Wings are for downforce, and downforce on a FWD car that only goes 140mph is ridiculous. Sure CF saves weight over regular wings, but wouldn't no wing save the most? since it isn't needed?

hm I wonder if we have run into each other at some point then. and yeah justin, you're right, I find that interesting as well. I find it interesting that some douche bag never paid me what I was owed. I once mentioned "maybe we can settle up with paintwork" and he took that and ran with it and later said no we agreed it was gonna be paintwork. Even if we had agreed on that, we didnt, he never followed through and wouldn't return calls. I don't see why you felt the need to post a story about how I was taken advantage here on this board. It has absolutely no relevance to this board and is obviously a sore subject to throw at someone. You took this thread from a good heated discussion about styling, to digging up sore spots in my past off other boards. That was pretty childish and unnecessary.
