Anyone have XM Satellite? What device did you get for your Mini and where did you install it? Thanks in advance!

We have a SkyFi2. We move the receiver between the MINI and the house as needed. In the MINI we have the receiver and its cradle lying in the area under the handbrake. Not a perfect solution but it works well enough for us.

When you activate your XM - try and use the promo code "ZWINBACK" or "WINBACKZ" . According to people "in the know" it is still a valid promo code and saves you up to 50% of your yearly fee.

I just had the XM Roady XT in the glove box - I set it by the hand brake while driving.
Past - 04 MCS - Whalen 8 ball, Dinan CAI, 15% pully, Unichip, B&B
Present - 11 Clubman - Short Shift, Whalen, Silencer Mod

Mine's a Kenwood Sirius tuner but same concept.

You have a convertable, right? Your real chalenge is going to be the antenna if you want to keep it clean. Proper mounting specs for an XM or Sirius antenna states that you should mount it in the center of a 12" x 12" area of metal, which on your car means the middle of the hood. You can get away with having the antenna on the dash but be prepaired for the occasional signal drop.
