** 8/27/08 - Confirmed Dinner Menu Item RSVPs now total 52 people. Room capacity is 56, so if your coming to the dinner I need to know ASAP or we may not have room for you!

If your name is on the Event RSVP list on the first post with a * next to it, then I have received your confirmation. Those without a number next to their name have confirmed they are not attending the dinner.

If you don't see the * or your NOT on the RSVP list at all, PLEASE get back to me ASAP.

Wow, things are really coming together for this years Twist & Shout.
As of this minute, the Mini count for the event is at 37. 30 from the DMC and 7 from NM Minis, with 55 people for the group dinner at Charlie Clarks.

Today is the last day the group rate will be guaranteed at the Bear Mountain Inn! If you haven't gotten a room yet, please do so ASAP!

It also looks like we'll need a bigger room or location for the next event, as we are now at 55 for dinner, and the room has a max capacity of 56! Should be a great time!

PLEASE let me know ASAP if your dinner plans change, as once I submit the dinner count to the restaurant, we are on the hook for that number of people, whether you show or not! I will be submitting that paperwork next Tuesday, September 2nd, so after that, no changes can be made.

Thanks!
Dan

BTW, is there a primer for fun-run newbies such as myself on tips and best known methods? Like radios, ettiqette, do's and don'ts, that kind of stuff. :?:

Def bring your two way radios with fresh batteries, set for channel 7 subchannel 21. If you don't have any radios, aren't able to get a radio, or forget yours, there is always someone who may have a spare, so don't worry.
*Gas up and be 100% ready to go prior to meeting at Starbucks.*
Take a look at our "Rules of the road" informational sheet found on the homepage of the website: http://www.dynamicminicollective.org/do ... 20Road.pdf

Additionally, there is always a drivers meeting prior to every run where a lot of information (maps, cell phone numbers, directions) is given - feel free to ask questions during this time if there is anything that you aren't sure of.

We try to keep everyone in eyesight and generally have someone who leads the pack as well as someone who follows up the pack so that people don't get lost. Some of our more spirited drivers have been known to get ahead of the rest of the group, so don't feel pressured that you need to keep up with them. Drive at a pace that is comfortable for you and please don't be afraid to speak up if you are having any car problems or other issues that you may encounter.

Lights on for safety, and most importantly, HAVE FUN! :D
