Coops & Bikes - Food Bank Benefit Run - Sat Nov 22

Postby Nemo » Wed Nov 12, 2008 4:04 am

Hi All,
Cycle Gear has invited us on a ride to benefit the food banks of Surprise and Phoenix on Saturday, November 22nd. The ride will start at the Cycle Gear in Surprise, 15643 N Reems Rd. (on Reems just north of Greenway). They have a start window of between 7 and 10am, that way there is not one big bunch of bikes.

We will meet at 8:30AM and depart at 8:45AM.

The route is Wickenburg, Yarnell, Prescott, Jerome, Cottonwood, I17 back to Cavecreek to end at the Cycle Gear in Phoenix, 13220 N Cavecreek Rd. There will be raffle drawings between 5 and 6 pm at the Phoenix Cycle Gear.
One can of food equals one raffle ticket. Cycle Gear will match all donations.
This is a good for some club exposure and give back to our community.
Anyone interested? Maybe plan lunch in Jerome?

We will meet up at Cycle Gear in Surprise at 8:30AM, and depart at 8:45AM. I might be on two wheels for this, and no, not trick driving in the Mini... hehe... haven't decided on my mode of transportation just yet...

This would be the route: CLICK HERE

That puts us in Jerome about Noon for lunch and then back to the Cycle gear location on Cave Creek around 3pm.

Forecast is clear and in the 60s for Jerome for next weekend, so it should be clear but cold, going over Mingus Mtn.

Right now the thought is that I'll ride the bike and Marilyn and Nana will be in CoopahS :)
