Just got in. FANTASTIC weekend. Decker Canyon run was awesome! Angeles Crest was incredible! :jammin

The road was gorgeous and traffic was non-existent. Absolutely great motoring. Pics later.

Great fun with all the folks who came along. Even met up with a surprise visitor.

Ditto what Jose said! It was a perfect weekend - the weather was absolutely gorgeous, great company, and we had a blast!

So yep, we officially have a new 2009 Horizon Blue Cooper S. We made the trip over to SoCal Friday morning, and we met/surprised the "Angeles Crest Hwy" crew that went over on Thursday, at breakfast Saturday morning in Malibu.

Thanks again to Mark for putting together a great run... perfect break-in trip for both me and the new R56. Marilyn and I had a blast

Now THAT is some great physical therapy, Mini-style!

Wow! What a great weekend! I am refreshed! The entire weekend could not have been more perfect. Thanks Mark for all the planning and to everyone in attendance for making the run so entertaining. It was real close to having too much fun.

The most tiring part was weeding through 750 some pictures accumulated over the past few days. Here's the favorites.

What a wonderful trip / weekend / company! Other than an unnamed person that continued to wear the same shirt as me, it was a PERFECT trip! :lol:

The coastal weather was unbelievable. Decker Canyon Run - what a FUN surprise! Angeles Crest was all I've ever heard it was and more. Such a treat to find such a wonderful road, in perfect condition and almost no traffic on it. It was open 100% of the way as well (a first in 4-5 years, I've heard)

Thanks to everyone for making it a great outing and certainly one to remember.

Thanks! It was great that it all timed out, both physically for my healing, and the ordering/shipping of the new Mini. We ordered it Memorial Day Weekend

And what a fantastic 4th of July weekend to break it in with you all!

Congrats on the new MINI. We did the same thing a year ago. Ordered on Memorial Day and picked up on July 12th. Hard to believe it has already been a year. Still can pry the smile off of my face when I drive it.

A great time it was.... Great motoring. Was awesome to have Dan show up with his beautiful new wheels.... Hope you have a 100k fun miles with this one... and the smiles keep going.. These trips seem to end up being the most memorable ones... Thanks all!!
