Anyone got a rim/tire I can borrow for a day or two? - fixed

Postby joe_bfstplk » Mon Feb 01, 2010 1:16 am

Hi all!

I had a blowout on the way back from the fun run today (31-Jan). :(

Luckily I felt it getting a little weird in the back, and I got it stopped before it chewed the tire up too badly (and without getting a scratch on the rim 8)), but with no spare, it's going to be hard to get to a tire shop tomorrow to get it fixed....

Thank goodness for AAA! :) I decided to have him drop me at home, since there's nowhere I know of to get a tire repaired after 5 on a Sunday....

480/201-7149 or egg_zackly@yahoo.com

TIA!

C ya,
Dutch

I have an extra run-flat on a 17" rim. I'm in the west valley and would be happy to bring it to you if it will help. Sorry to hear about the flat, but glad it didn't happen during the run out in the middle of nowhere.

Thanks for the offer! I really appreciate it, especially considering your remote location!

I was finally able to track a friend down to give me a lift. He might even have a donut spare for me to borrow (from his son's Miata) for the day.

Gotta run, thanks!!

Well, Nudnik got two new pair of shoes. I looked at the two remaining tires that were on the car when I purchased it and decided that it'd be better to let them go to the great tireheap in the sky and wait for the other stuff I had planned to get....

Thanks to all who offered help--it was greatly appreciated!
