DMC - MTTS Pool Party @ Valley Ho - Sun Aug 8

Pleae come join the DMC, MiniAZ dealers and MiniUSA for the MTTS AZ stop and event on Sunday evening, August 8th at the Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale!

This evening event is open to EVERYONE. You don't have to register for MTTS to attend or have a room at the hotel. The goal of the event is to bring as many MiNi people together as possible to have a good time, give away a few prizes, eat some good food, take a dip in the pool and also help benefit the St. Marys Food Bank with a food drive and 50/50 raffle.

The DMC will have a booth/table location at the event where we will be providing information to those prospective members about the club as well as have a handout or two. We have ordered some special DMC Logo'ed items from our Lands End portal and they will be offered up as part of the raffle prizes that evening.

The DMC has also offered to run a 50/50 raffle that evening to help benefit the St. Marys Food Bank. The MiniAZ dealers are asking people to bring non-perishable food items to the event where they will have boxes for those items, but we thought the 50/50 raffle would make for a nice way to earn a few more dollars for them as well as put a few in some lucky winners pocket that night! The food boxes are also up now at both dealer locations. If you take a trip over to a dealer in the next month, take a can of food with you if you can.

One of our DMC Members is scheduled to return from his military tour in Afghanistan just prior to this event and the Mini dealer will be delivering his new Mini to he and his family that evening.

We are also going to have a booth/area at the Rise & Shine on Monday morning, which will also be hosted at an area around the Hotel Valley Ho. 8AM Meet time with a 9AM departure time for Vegas. We are working on some items to be included in the MTTS goodie bag, one which will be a special commemorative sticker(motoring badge sized) for the Arizona MTTS stop.

Okay, this could be a silly question, but I gotta know. Is this a 'pool party', as in we are going swimming; or a 'party by the pool', as in no swimming? I dont want to the only one who shows up in swim trunks and flip flops....
