“B.E.A.T.” ~ BRITISH EURO AUTO TOUR

Disclamer: This isn't a DMC sponsored event. Just posting it up to help spread the word.

This is all the info I have for now and was copied from an Email I received:

Hi & Welcome to 2013! We are very busy working with a number of our vendors securing their pricing and putting together some of the final items for the registration form. We will have the registration process available by the end of January / early February and this year will make available the ability to use PayPal (their fee added) or just mailing in your check & registration. We are also working this year with the merchants in Prescott to secure “Whiskey Row” and that always makes for some exciting moments and details. Last year we had coffee & donuts in Wickenburg at Coffinger Park and that proved to be very popular, so again we are making that our Wickenburg coffee stop. We have been in contact with several of car clubs asking if they will mention our event on their club’s event schedule. Some of the contacts we’ve had over the years have changed and this is where you can help. Please forward this email to your club’s “events person”. Your help is very important to spread the word and minimize your buddies signing up late or missing out. If you have suggestions on spreading the word, we’d enjoy hearing your thoughts.

Tour dates, always the weekend after tax day, this year is April 20-21, 2013.
2013 will be the 16th. Year, we know Roger would be pleased.

I just received this update. Please note they are having server issues so the website has not been updated yet:

Hi, with all the great things that technology does for us, sometimes it stops and breaks and that really gets our attention. The last few days we have had server issues on our web site and that has made updating the web site with the attached information impossible. With that in mind, we are sending out the information page and registration form for your use. Please review everything and should you have a question or need additional information please call or email us. We’ve been asked to make available an extra engraved name tag for your special navigator. If you have a name tag from a previous tour, you will want to wear that one and the name tag that is part of your registration can then be engraved with your special someone else’s name. Just help us out with the engraving information so that everyone that wants a name tag has one. Also, be sure and make your reservation at Little America – the phone number is on the information sheet. Be sure and mention the B.E.A.T. and that you want a room in Flagstaff because Little America has a different location that is getting their reservation phone calls. The room rates are $99 & $119. The magnetic signs are being hand crafted and the background picture is really nice. You’ll see a number of cars on the sign from 2011, leading the pack are a Mercedes Benz, followed by an Alfa, then a Triumph…….
We are very busy with a number of pre-event items but one item we always work the hardest on and that is securing “Whiskey Row” in Prescott. We have received approval from the merchants and that task is always a relief to secure. Your shopping with the merchants is always very helpful and this year we have some “merchant specials” so be sure and read about them in the rally book. Oh Yeah – that now needs to be written. Well, a bunch of things left to do. So, please review the attached information page and application. We will have those pages on the website as soon as they can be uploaded.

“B.E.A.T.” ~ BRITISH EURO AUTO TOUR ~ PHOENIX TO FLAGSTAFF
SATURDAY, APRIL 20TH. & SUNDAY, APRIL 21ST., 2013 (OUR 16TH. YEAR)

Please join other owners of cars manufactured in Great Britain and Europe on a 2-day auto tour starting in Phoenix and cruising to Wickenburg where we will have coffee and donuts. Leaving Wickenburg we will travel through the Joshua Tree National Forest along Highway 93 & 96 to Kirkland. We will enter Prescott from the west. There will be special parking on Whiskey Row for lunch & shopping. The drive will continue over Mingus Mountain through Jerome & Clarkdale. The final stop will be Little America in Flagstaff.

Please arrive Saturday morning at 5:30 A.M. to get checked in and pick up your goodie bag. DEPARTURE IS 6:30 A.M. SHARP FROM I 17 AND DUNLAP RD. IN PHOENIX.
Cars will gather in the parking lot off the northbound frontage road (north of the Sheraton Crescent Hotel).

Sunday morning we will return back to Phoenix by way of Highway 87 through Payson or Highway 260 into Camp Verde and then Highway 17 into Phoenix.

THE $125.00 / PER VEHICLE REGISTRATION FEE WILL BE LIMITED TO REGISTRATION CLOSING ON MARCH 16, 2013 OR THE FIRST 150 PAID REGISTRATIONS RECEIVED.

Additional t-shirts, additional magnetic name tag or magnetic sign (11x19 can be personalized)

Just a couple notes to let you know where your registration money is also applied to:
Gas & driver’s expenses for the chase / flat bed, emergency assistance vehicle
Prescott for street closures, rental of barricades & police assistance for special parking on “Whiskey Row”
Little America for rental of the banquet room for both Saturday’s social hour & Sunday’s breakfast, appetizers & bartenders at the social hour and rental of televisions for the viewing of Saturday’s & Sunday’s digital pictures


Also, if you want to buy raffle tickets for the “Gift Baskets” they will be available Sunday morning.
This year we will have 2 additional baskets – one for a “little girl” and one for a “little boy”.

FYI, for those interested, registration for the 2013 Tour is now open.
"The BEAT website is ready to roll for new registrations. The cutoff date is March 16, 2013."
