Looks like a fantastic time was had by all. Dan, you sneeky... you certainly know how to make a dramatic entrance, huh? Would love to do this run next year, though maybe not over the 4th.

LOL, shall we start calling each other every morning to see what the other is wearing?

Only on the days when I drop by your area during the day! :)

Savannah and I were checking out Rick's slideshow from this trip last night. Fantastic photos.... I can't believe I'm saying this but she WANTS to go to that museum. Hopefully, there will be a ver. 2 of this trip in the future.

Damn, this area looked so great when we were going through there... 1/2 mile from where the above photos were taken at Mt. Wilson. :(
The fire in the Angeles National Forest was only 5 percent contained before making its overnight run. It's a half-mile from Mt. Wilson, a ridgetop center that includes many broadcasting antennas and an observatory.

Hopefully no more injuries to family or firefighters, already two fireman killed in an accident during travel to/from the area.

Wow... I know that certain parts of the Angeles Crest had been closed for several years due to fires and land slides.

This is a HUGE fire...
