If you live in Vail the route via ABQ is the shortest by far. :P

Saw the ad for this August's event and it looks like it will fit my schedule...and a chance to see the kids from Denver.
Since this will be my first "MInIs in the Mountain" event, any words of wisdom to share?

Back home tonight after a "quick" drive up to the Denver area on Thursday and back today on Sunday. Just an FYI for those driving up for MITM, the 160 through Kayenta has an ongoing paving project that has some one-lane traffic just before you get to Kayenta. Also, the 191 (going up through Monument Valley) has a couple of work projects, most notably a total re-pave and also a widening project that starts just North of Moab. None of the delays were very long, 10-15 minutes, but loose gravel and all that fun that comes with repaving. Most of this work does not apply for weekend travel, but during the week its pretty messy and delays can vary, so plan accordingly and have an awesome time!
